Do you FEEL like you are FALLING APART?
maybe you've tried to TELL yourself
that if you just IGNORE
what's TROUBLING you it will go AWAY.
maybe you've tried to DISTRACT yourself
by drinking (more than you should)
spending money (on things you dont need).
overeating (to the point where it feels awful)
exercising (almost compulsively)
even THROWING yourself into WORK.
BUT
you still don't feel any BETTER.
in fact, things are getting WORSE.
AND
now you CAN'T sleep.
your mind is ALWAYS racing.
your mood is LOW and IRRITABLE.
you are always EXHAUSTED.
MAYBE now its time to talk to a PROFESSIONAL.
MAYBE I can HELP.
I have been a psychotherapist in private practice for over 10 years and specialize in treating high achieving professionals in early and middle adulthood who are suffering from mild to severe anxiety, mood disorders, food/weight issues and/or problematic drinking. Patients also frequently come in because they are struggling to cope with the end of a relationship or feeling stuck or burnt out in a job they no longer find fulfilling.
As both a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Certified Holistic Health Coach (CHHC), my counseling practice offers an innovative approach to treatment, one that views mind and body as inherently intertwined. I draw upon principles of psychology, nutrition and medicine in order for you to develop greater wellness, both inside and out. I pay particular attention to how symptoms have manifested physiologically in altering your sleeping patterns, eating habits, alcohol use, concentration and overall well being. I believe that when individuals become AWARE of what is driving the unbalanced emotional and physical state, a positive shift can start to occur.
Life is messy and It takes a lot of courage to reach out to a stranger and ask for help. My practice is guided by the principle of authenticity and a conviction that we are empowered by embracing our vulnerabilities and struggles rather than editing them out. Let's work together to figure out what's driving your state of distress and face it head on instead of hoping it will just go away.
My only rule in therapy is for you to show up uncensored.
